Mungo Lodge Facilities

Mungo Lodge facilities ensure that your stay with us is just not a comfortable bed to sleep in, but a unique experience that will remain with you forever.

Careful consideration has been given to the design of the Lodge to ensure comfort and style whilst appreciating the vast, unforgiving, spectacular surrounds.

Main Mungo Lodge

The main lodge is a meeting place for locals and guests to share tales and discoveries. Guest can choose to relax by one of the two open fireplaces, choose a book from the library, share a game of cards, play on the pool table, watch TV on the large LCD screen or just sit back, and savour a cold beer or quality glass of local wine.

During the summer months, the large open aired, outdoor deck is a majestic place to experience a true ‘outback evening’ under the stars.

Mungo Bar and Bistro

The Mungo Bar and Bistro area is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From true hearty outback breakfasts, simple and refreshing casual lunches, to delicious dinners, Mungo Lodge brings a new meaning to dining in the outback.

  • Breakfast 7 Days is served between 8:00am – 9:30am
  • Lunch is served between 12.00pm and 2.00pm
  • Dinner is served between 6.00pm and 8.00pm (last orders for meals taken at 8.30pm)

The restaurant is open for coffees from 10.00am daily.

Please note: Due to Mungo Lodge’s remote location, we ask that where possible, notice of any special dietary requirements be provided prior to arrival.

The Mungo Bar and Lounge offers an escape from the ‘outdoors’. Featuring an open bar stocked with refreshing beverages, local and imported beer & wines. Experience nothing better and more ‘Aussie’ than something ‘cold’ to quench the thirst after a day of exploring.

Gift Shop and Gallery

The giftshop showcases a selection of local produce, gifts & mementos, with features including local Aboriginal artefacts, boomerangs, Mungo National Park information books. There are many mementos to choose from to take home something special to remind you of your Mungo experience.
